The Lakeland Motor Museum
The Lakeland Motor Museum with its incredible collection of vintage and classic vehicles is a perfect Lake District location for group visits.
The riverside museum, in the Leven Valley, is just minutes from Windermere, England's largest natural lake and it's a great addition to any Lake District itinerary. It's collection of 140 classic vehicles and 30,000 motoring memorabilia exhibits will fascinate and entertain. The museum is partly housed in a historic converted mill and also tells the fascinating industrial history of the Leven Valley. There's also a special tribute exhibition to the Bluebird speed kings Donald and Sir Malcolm Campbell in a dedicated building at the museum.
A great value option for groups is the Transport Duo ticket from Windermere Lake Cruises which combines a visit to the Lakeland Motor Museum with a scenic cruise on Windermere.
Or there's the Transport Trio ticket which adds in a ride on a locomotive steam train with Lakeside and Haverthwaite Railway.
The museum offers excellent rates for coach parties of 20 or more and group tickets include free coach parking. There's also a tasty menu at Café Ambio at the Lakeland Motor Museum.
It's open every day of the year apart from Christmas Day.
