Tower Museum

Located within the historic City Walls of Derry~Londonderry the Tower Museum is a must see visitor attraction. Permanent exhibitions at the museum include 'The Story of Derry' where you will discover the origins of Doire, the place of the oak to the Plantation and the famous 17th century Siege and 'An Armada Shipwreck - La Trinidad Valencera' where you can follow the journey of the ship from it's origins in Venice in 1587 to it's embarkation from Lisbon under the ensign of Philip II. La Trinidad Valencera was one of the largest ships in the 130 strong Armada. It sunk off the Donegal coast in 1588 and was discovered by the City Of Derry Sub Aqua Club in 1971.

Don't miss the Derry Girls Experience - a unique and exciting exhibition where you can discover
original memorabilia from the hit show, like Erin's diary, Aunt Sarah's famous pyjamas and Ma Mary's Woolworths sweater, not to mention the infamous Spice Girls costumes. Step onto the set of the Quinn household and feel like one of the family or sit in Sister Michael's chair and roll your eyes at all who pass.

Enjoy the discovery zone and VR experiences before checking out the stunning panoramic views of the city and River Foyle from our open-air viewing facility.
